Button Layout & Digit Rules

The button layout determines which digit range and maximum sum are used. The circular pad displays buttons 1–18 arranged around the center number display; the two-row pad displays 1–20 in two horizontal rows beneath it.

Display & Feedback

Positive Reinforcement
Play a tone and green flash on correct responses. Off by default per standard protocol.
Show Level & Timer
Display level indicator and elapsed time during the task. Hidden by default to prevent clock-watching.

Mood Ratings

Enable Mood Ratings
Show 6-item mood scales (Anxiety, Happiness, Contentment, Distress, Frustration, Irritability) before and after the task.

Task Dimensions

Fixed pixel size ensures consistent motor demands across participants.
